Render Repair in Warwickshire

Cutting out blown, hollow and failed render and making good to match the existing finish.

We carry out render repair across Warwickshire and the surrounding Warwickshire area throughout the year.

Across Warwickshire, timber framing, Victorian brick and extensive modern estate development dominates, and conservation lime work around Stratford and render refresh on modern estates is what we are called out to most often. Local conditions bring a moderate inland climate, and that has a direct bearing on which systems are worth specifying.

Local factor. Stratford-upon-avon and warwick carry dense listed-building coverage where cement render is effectively ruled out.

Is render repair right for a Warwickshire property?

Choose repair over a full re-render when failure is localised, the bulk of the elevation is sound, and the cause can be fixed.

That decision gets made at the survey, not on the phone. We will tell you plainly if a different system would serve the building better — including when a cheaper one would.

FAQs

Render Repair in Warwickshire — questions

Will you need scaffolding?

For anything above single storey, yes — it is safer and produces a better finish than working off ladders or towers. Scaffold is included and itemised in the quote.

How long before I can paint new render?

Through-coloured systems need no painting at all. Sand and cement should cure for around 28 days before masonry paint goes anywhere near it.

Do you take a deposit?

For most domestic jobs we take a deposit to cover materials and scaffold, with the balance on completion. Terms are set out clearly in the written quote.

Can you match my existing render?

Usually, yes. We colour and texture match as closely as we can, though weathered render never matches a fresh batch exactly — we will be honest about how visible a patch will be.

Can blown render be patched or does it all need replacing?

If the failure is localised and the rest is well bonded, patching is the sensible option. Once more than roughly a third of an elevation is hollow, a full re-render usually works out better value.

Why did my render fail?

Most commonly water getting in from above — failed gutters, cracked sills, missing bell-cast beads — or an over-strong cement mix on a substrate that moves. We identify the cause as part of the survey.
