Commercial Rendering in Tyne and Wear
Commercial and industrial rendering for blocks, retail units, schools and new-build developments.
Tyne and Wear property owners come to us for commercial rendering for one of two reasons: something has failed, or the house looks tired.
Across Tyne and Wear, Tyneside flats, stone and brick terraces and postwar estates dominates, and frost damage, driving rain and coastal salt at Whitley Bay and Tynemouth is what we are called out to most often. The area sees cold with strong easterly exposure off the North Sea, which is the single biggest factor in how long any render lasts here.
Local factor. Tyneside flats have an unusual shared-elevation arrangement that affects how a render job is scoped and quoted between two households.
Is commercial rendering right for a Tyne and Wear property?
Choose us for contract work where system compliance, documentation and programme certainty matter as much as the finish quality.
That decision gets made at the survey, not on the phone. We will tell you plainly if a different system would serve the building better — including when a cheaper one would.

FAQs
Commercial Rendering in Tyne and Wear — questions
Can you work on occupied buildings?
Yes. We phase works around occupancy on schools, retail and residential blocks, and agree access, working hours and site security arrangements in advance.
Do you provide system warranties?
Yes. Where a full manufacturer-specified system is installed we provide the system warranty alongside our own workmanship guarantee.
How long does a rendering job take?
A typical three-bedroom semi is usually one to two weeks on site including scaffold, preparation, application and finishing. Weather, wall condition and the system chosen all move that.
Do I need planning permission to render my house?
Usually not on a standard house, but you will if the property is listed, in a conservation area, or if rendering would significantly change its appearance. We flag it at survey.
Will you need scaffolding?
For anything above single storey, yes — it is safer and produces a better finish than working off ladders or towers. Scaffold is included and itemised in the quote.
How long before I can paint new render?
Through-coloured systems need no painting at all. Sand and cement should cure for around 28 days before masonry paint goes anywhere near it.
