Textured Render in Isle of Wight
Textured render finishes from fine grain to heavy relief, matched to the property's character.
We carry out textured render across Isle of Wight and the surrounding Isle of Wight area throughout the year.
Across Isle of Wight, Victorian seaside villas, stone cottages and coastal bungalows dominates, and salt exposure and driving rain on an island with no sheltered aspect is what we are called out to most often. With exposed maritime conditions on all sides, specification matters more in this part of the country than a national price list suggests.
Local factor. Being an island, every elevation is a weather elevation — there is no consistently sheltered side, which changes how a whole-house specification is planned.
Is textured render right for a Isle of Wight property?
Choose a textured finish where you want visual depth, or where the substrate is irregular enough that a smooth finish would show every undulation.
That decision gets made at the survey, not on the phone. We will tell you plainly if a different system would serve the building better — including when a cheaper one would.

FAQs
Textured Render in Isle of Wight — questions
Does texture affect maintenance?
Yes. Deeper textures hold slightly more dirt and organic growth, particularly on shaded elevations. Silicone binders offset most of that.
Can I see a sample first?
Always. We produce a sample panel on site in your chosen grain and colour before we commit to the full elevation.
How long does a rendering job take?
A typical three-bedroom semi is usually one to two weeks on site including scaffold, preparation, application and finishing. Weather, wall condition and the system chosen all move that.
Do I need planning permission to render my house?
Usually not on a standard house, but you will if the property is listed, in a conservation area, or if rendering would significantly change its appearance. We flag it at survey.
Will you need scaffolding?
For anything above single storey, yes — it is safer and produces a better finish than working off ladders or towers. Scaffold is included and itemised in the quote.
How long before I can paint new render?
Through-coloured systems need no painting at all. Sand and cement should cure for around 28 days before masonry paint goes anywhere near it.
